Life is a Game…

If you have observed carefully, the sportsmen from Spain are enjoying a tremendous run in the recent past. Rafael Nadal, Fernando Alonso, Barcelona FC, Spain National Football Team, Sergio Garcia, Gibernau, Verdasco – all are in the best form of their life.

The era of Spanish domination began in 2007 when Rafael Nadal got the better of Federer. Spain National Football team also began its golden run in 2007 when they beat France. And elsewhere, Fernando Alonso pipped Michael Schumacher to win the F1 championships twice in two years. Nadal was threatening to break Federer’s run and he did become the world No.1 in August 2008. Around the same time, Spanish Football Team was crowned the European Champions after producing a dazzling football. This period coincided with the meteoric rise of Barcelona FC. And the golden run was completed with Barcelona FC being crowned the Champion club of Europe.

This sudden surge may be attributed to the culmination of efforts put in by the Ministry of Sports, Spain. A long term plan was formulated and they are now reaping the rewards.  It’s no coincidence that more and more players are coming through the Youth Academies set up all over the country. And in the world of tennis, it’s Spain all over. Rafael Nadal, Fernando Versasco, David Ferrer, Carlo Ferrera, Tommy Robredo, Emile Sanchez, etc…

This is a blog about sports. I am a huge fan of all kinds of sports and i love writing too. So i have decided to mix up these two and this is the outcome.
