Roma moves to joint second spot

Rome: AS Roma extended its unbeaten run to 17 games with a 2-1 win over last-place Siena on Sunday and moved into a tied second place with AC Milan in Serie A. Stefano Okaka scored the winner in the 88th minute for Roma, in what was likely his final game with the Giallorossi before transferring to Fulham.
Simone Vergassola had equalised for Siena in the 41st after John Arne Riise opened the scoring in the 29th with his second goal in two games. AC Milan was held to a 1-1 draw at the San Siro by Livorno. Massimo Ambrosini put Milan ahead in the 44th and Livorno captain, Cristiano Lucarelli equalised in the 53rd. Inter Milan’s game at Parma was postponed until February 10 due to snow covering the stands at the Tardini stadium. Inter leads with 49 points and Roma and Milan are next with 41 points apiece.
Sevilla downs Valencia
Two goals from Alvaro Negredo gave Sevilla a 2-1 win against Valencia in La Liga on Sunday as the Andalusians moved back into the Champions League spots. Earlier, goals from Duda and Javier Lopez gave Malaga a 2-0 away win against a lacklustre Atletico Madrid.
